PSI

Grant Insurance Support Program
The Grant Insurance Support Program is designed to help patients with hemophilia A obtain a high-risk insurance policy that covers treatment with recombinant Factor VIII products.

The Grant Insurance Support Program supports Patients Services Incorporated (PSI), a national nonprofit organization.

PSI offers assistance in:

  • locating and obtaining various health insurance policies
  • addressing the cost of prohibitive insurance premium payments

Prescreening process
Any patient who wishes to know more about the Grant Insurance Support Program should call the Bayer Reimbursement HELPlineā„¢ at 800.288.8374. If appropriate, the Program Analyst will refer the patient to Patient Services, Inc. and PSI will independently determine eligibility. Should the patient qualify for PSI's assistance, PSI will complete an exhaustive search to obtain an insurance policy.

Kogenate® FS, Antihemophilic Factor (Recombinant), is a recombinant factor VIII treatment indicated for the treatment of hemophilia A. The most frequently reported adverse events were local injection site reactions, dizziness, and rash. Known intolerance or allergic reactions to constituents of the preparation is a contraindication to the use of Kogenate® FS. Known hypersensitivity to mouse or hamster protein may be a contraindication to the use of Kogenate® FS. For important safety and use information, please see the full prescribing information.
