Simple process from Preparation to Activation to Transfer
Kogenate® FS with BIO-SET®
Steps
- Remove cap from vial.
- Remove tip cap from syringe.
- Screw syringe into vial.
- Press down on syringe.
- Screw plunger into syringe.
- Push plunger down allowing diluent to go into vial.
- Swirl vial gently.
- Fill syringe.
- Twist off syringe from vial.
- Attach butterfly.

Conventional Vial-to-Vial Reconstitution
Steps
- Open alcohol swab.
- Remove caps from vials, clean with swab.
- Remove short cap from transfer needle.
- Insert end of transfer needle into rubber stopper on vial.
- Pull off side of transfer needle showing long end of needle.
- Invert vial of diluent.
- Push long end of needle through rubber stopper of vial.
- Remove needle and empty diluent vial from mixed factor vial.
- Gently swirl factor vial 3 times.
- Take syringe out of its packaging and remove the cap.
- Open second alcohol swab.
- Clean off rubber stopper of mixed factor vial again.
- Twist off end of filter needle.
- Connect filter needle to end of syringe.
- Twist off cap on other end of filter needle and fill syringe with air.
- Insert filter needle into rubber stopper of vial of mixed factor.
- Inject air through filter needle into vial of factor.
- Draw mixed factor into syringe.
- Remove filter needle from syringe.
- Connect syringe to butterfly.
