Kogenate® FS, Antihemophilic Factor (Recombinant), brings a new level of convenience to the treatment of hemophilia A, while increasing the safety margin. In addition to an albumin-free final formulation, we have introduced a solvent/detergent step - a robust virus-inactivation process. Kogenate FS also features small diluent volumes, of 2.5 mL or 5 mL, for all vial sizes.
If you use 250, 500, or 1,000 IU vials of Kogenate FS, these vial sizes are reconstituted with 2.5 mL of sterile water. The 2000 IU vial size of Kogenate FS is reconstituted with 5 mL of sterile water. That's one quarter of the diluent volume required by some rFVIII products.
Convenient:
- For administering to babies and children
- For those with busy, active lifestyles
- For those who treat bleeds frequently
- For children learning to self-infuse
- For larger patients with high-IU dosage, which fits in one syringe
